This 93 rd oscar winning movie is a story of film industry itself.




The movie is called Mank which won the BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY and BEST PRODUCTION DESIGN categories of the 2021 Oscars. Its Initial release date was 13 November 2020 (USA) and was directed by  David Fincher. This " black and white " Movie has a duration of 2hr 12min.

This movie is the biographical drama film of screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz. The story takes place in the year 1940 but contains the flashbacks of past 10 years as well. Mank survives a car accident but his leg has been fractured. Still, he gets stuck into the deadline of a screenplay writing on which he was working before that incident. As it was a big project so a house was arranged for him with certain conditions. He gets Rita Alexander as his secretary who helps him through his work and takes care of his health as well. By this journey finally, the script ends successfully and wins Oscars! (In both of reel and real-world) 

The main focus of this story was the complicated experiences, ups, and downs of Mank related to his final success. The story has to be observed sincerely so one can actually experience the stages of Mank's life that are portrayed in this movie. Though the movie is a bit long to stick with, it gracefully shows the alternative scenes from past and present so the storyline improves as a nonlinear one. The movie expresses the inner politics and hypocrisy of the Hollywood film industry and its effects openly. It addresses the personal aspects of this issue carefully. Nothing to say more, but this making deserves a watch from you if you love the nonfiction biography genre and true stories behind a success. If you watch this with patience, you won't get bored and could enjoy the movie.
