THE SECOND WAVE OF CORONA CONTINUES BUT THE FEAR OF THE THIRD… WILL GOVERNMENT IMPOSE A COMPLETE LOCKDOWN?

                                                    



In India the second wave of Corona is causing havoc, in such a situation, is the Indian government considering to impose a complete lockdown?  No such possibility has been ruled out by the Union Health Ministry.  Niti Aayog member VK Paul said in a press conference on Wednesday that the option of national lockdown is also being discussed.


VK Paul's statement is also important because he is the head of the National Covid-19 Task Force.  If you look at his entire statement, he has said that advisories have been issued regarding the latest situation, as well as if there are strict restrictions that are required, then there is always a discussion on the option, in which decisions are made.  They will be taken if needed. 


In Wednesday's press conference, the member of the Niti Aayog said that the state governments have already been advised to impose district-wise restrictions on the basis of local status, more than 10 percent positivity rate. 


The entire lockdown is being discussed in the country when many states have already taken steps like lockdown, curfew, night curfew, weekend lockdown.  Restrictions are in force in states like Maharashtra, Kerala, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh. 


Continuous demand for complete lockdown.

On Thursday, the Supreme Court has also expressed concern about the third wave.  The Supreme Court has said that the government will have to prepare from now, because if the third wave affects the children, then the treatment of children, what will happen to their parents, will have to be thought about.  Along with this, a backup plan of doctors and nurses will also have to be prepared.
