Make a round of applause for this 2021 Oscar winning movie:

The movie I'm talking about is Another Round, the winner of the BEST INTERNATIONAL FEATURE FILM section of the 93rd Oscars.

The initial release date of this movie was 12 September 2020 (Canada). This was directed by Thomas Vinterberg. The original title of this Danish movie was Druk.

(1st view)

The story begins with the regular life of a school teacher named Martin. There are more than 3 teachers named Tommy, Peter, and Nikolaj in this school of Copenhagen who led the same kind of life. Basically, they became dull and boring with the age and depressed about the mess of their lives. They live in the exact same routine every day, like just the repetition of eating work sleep cycle. Don't even feel the previous attachment or charm with their families anymore. Then one day, Martin faces humiliation from his students and their parents with their questioning about his ability to teach history properly. The frustration crossed its limit here.

(2nd view)

In the meantime at the 40th birthday party Nikolaj, Martin vents out his troubles and others tried hard to feel him good. In this discussion, another topic turns up. This is a theory of psychiatrist Finn Skårderud, which states that having a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.05  makes a person more relaxed and spontaneous.

So the group decides to do some experiments to verify the theory. They also decide to write a journal over it and be inspired by Hemingway, they won't drink after 8pm. So the process starts from the next day and became successful immediately. One by one, the problems of their lives were about to solve. They started to live life in high gear! Every single fact was sorted again.

(3rd view)

They proceed with the experiment some steps further and everything turned upside down again. The situation becomes worse than it was. A lot of incidents happened in every life and Tommy ended up dying.

Still, they fight back and returned to a normal healthy life again. How? The movie will tell you everything with a happy ending.

Well, I just loved this movie personally. The acting, screenplay, cinematography, background music everything was commendable. This movie presents today's so-called, normal, frustrating life with the rapping of the probability of everything's being okay again. It reminds us that the bad ending isn't an ending at all, there's nothing to lose hope, and everything will be alright in the end. It's our own life, all we have to do is hold ourselves up and make it lovely as we want.

So watch this movie, appreciate and enjoy it. Motivate yourself again and carry on with your beautiful life!

I'll be back with another discussion soon...
