India in the Paranoia of sudden COVID-19 outbreak.

New Delhi: Each passing day has now become difficult to survive in India. This Virus has come so close to us. Every morning we wake up and listening to the frantic pleas of people for "Life". The television, internet, newspapers are loaded with the tragic scene of people pleading doctors, nurses for one Oxygen cylinder, one bed, and then the death of their dear ones before getting the aid is heart-rending. Wherever you go, the hospitals, the streets, you will come across the wailing of citizens. There's not a single individual around us, who is not living with the fear psychosis of losing oneself or one's someone dearest. 

Reports say India has surpassed 200,000 death records. Yesterday it recorded 3.87 active cases and a total of 1.87 Crore caseloads. The 3rd phase of the Vaccination drive for many states for the age group 18-45 was to start on 1st May. The center has opened the Vaccine registration portal, Co-WIN for the same. The Online registration process has already been commenced since April 28th. More than 1.33 Crores Indians have registered to date.  The Co-WIN got more than 27 lakhs per minute since the moment it provided access. But it faced heavy traffic and technical glitches due to the huge rush. Many users complained of not able to even book their slots. 

The fear which is coming in the way of the success of this drive that, whether every Indian in the age group of 18-45 will get the vaccine or not? More than 17 states were about to start the Vaccination on 1st May free of cost. But many of those are in the dilemma with the quantum of Vaccines that need to procure their population per day.   Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and many other states are on the verge of the cancellation of the drive. Goa has not yet received any vaccine from the Central government. Hospitals in Karnataka denied getting any clarity regarding the supply of Vaccines from their state government.

With regard to the booking of the slots in Co-WIN, the central government replied, the appointments of the slots can only be given when the states will have ample Vaccine stocks. But the travesty is that, whether the states will be able to equip themselves with the required amount of Vaccines or not. 

The way COVID is expanding its possession over the population of India, it's not only killing their life but their spirit to live also. Even a minor cold is giving that paranoia to the mind, is the body affected with this dangerous Virus or not. Yes, we need and deserve all the support and help, but more we need the spirit, the confidence, and the powerful hope to fight out this situation.
