Election violance in india: 5 dead in bengal.

 


In this election time in India, there is not a good thing happen, In this year states election are happing in violence. Now when I write the polling has come to an end in 4 out of the 5 states and UTs up for elections. West Bengal is halfway through its polling with 4 phases left. Let's take a look at the incidents which have taken a great place during these elections.

1.      West Bengal violence

 4 people were killed when security personal fired at coochbehar sitalkuchi Constituency, The security force report that more than 150- 300 people started manhandling the polling staff and try to attack them. The Election commission Has concluded that the police action was necessary for their self-defense. In some reports said the people are trying to snatch the gun from the security guard.

Some other incident happening in West Bengal also – At least 10 people were arrested for allegedly being involved in violence in the 1st phase. In the second phase A TMC supporter(Unverified) was killed, 2 Bjp Candidates killed by TMC(unverified). And many place BJP candidates and also journalists car attacked by TMC supporter, Some other places local Journalist attacked.

 In 4th phase 2 BJP supporter person, 1 in dinhata, 1 in coochbehar killed by political rivals.

  Assam Violence

 In Assam, 3 people sustained bullet injuries in a clash between supporters of Bjp and AIUDF. In another incident, 3 people were injured when police fired at protesters who were reportedly trying to prevent poll officials from taking back EVMs.

  Kerala Violence

       A Muslim league worker was stabbed to death and two congress workers were stabbed.

 The EVM controversy

West Bengal

 4 EVM’s were found at the TMC leader house . These EVM’s were kept as a reserve and later banned for use. The sector and poling officer are suspended.

Assam

 In Assam there is another case of EVM, An EVM was transported in the private vehicle of a sitting BJP MLA. The EC immediate suspend 4 polling officials and repoll was ordered.

 

5.      Campaigning Bans by the Election commission.

 Assam

Bjp leader Himanta Biswa Sarma was banned for 48 hours( later reduce 24 hours) for openly threatening an opposition party of sending them to jail.

 West Bengal

Mamata Banerjee the chief minister of West Bengal was banned for 24 hrs for allegedly asking women to ‘Gherao’  CRPF personal.

 TamilNadu

 DMK’s A Raja was banned for 48 hours for derogatory comments against current CM.
