The Game Is Over: West Bengal assembly election result 2021.

Kolkata: The most awaited election is over now. Bengal tigress is back in the power for the third time with more than 200 seats. TMC literally sweeps out BJP from the battleground. After the 2019 Lok Sabha election, the 2021 Assembly election was the wake-up call for green. Since the 2019 election BJP had a good hold in many constituencies in Bengal but the charisma of the BJP didn't really work in Bengal. As a result, BJP stuck below 80. In 2016 too TMC secured 211 seats but in 2019, BJP stepped into Bengal with massive appreciation. But in 2021, the BJP vote share was dipped by less than 2% as compared to the 2019 Loksabha election. The left front was not even in the race, the main fight was only between green and saffron.

After the landslide victory, Nandigram, the epicenter of the 2021 election has shown the real game. In Nandigram, CM Mamata Banerjee was fought against her former trusted lieutenant Subhendu Adhikary.  This high voltage epicenter was in the news since Sunday morning. BJP candidate Suvendu Adhikary beat Mamta Banerjee by 1737 vote. After the neck-to-neck fight till round 17, prestigious Nandigram went back to the court of the BJP. The Bengal Tigress and Trinamool Congress has demanded an immediate recounting in the Nandigram constituency alleging the number of illegalities in the vote-counting process. But, returning officer has rejected the demand.  However, our honorable chief minister finally accepted the verdict. "Don't worry about Nandigram, I struggled for Nandigram because I fought a movement. It's ok. Let the Nandigram people give whatever verdict they want, I accept that. I don't mind. We won more than 221 seats and BJP has lost the election" CM said in a Press conference. After all, 47.97% of votes were swept by green.

Honorable PM has congratulated Mamata Banerjee with his tweet, said "Congratulations to Mamata Didi for @AITCofficial's win in West Bengal. The Centre will continue to extend all possible support to the West Bengal Government to fulfill people's aspirations and also to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic". Polarization was unable to snatch votes for BJP. A campaign like "Duare Sarkar" or "Sasthosathi" has finally paid off. Also, according to the mastermind, Prashant Kishore, the 'Didi K bolo' (talk to didi) campaign has been smothered at the very local level. People could express their grievances and thoughts about TMC. "Duare Sarkar" and " Didi k bolo" these two schemes benefitted TMC the most. Lastly, our honorable CM urges us not to take out any victory procession due to COVID. "We have to work immediately on Covid-19 management, "You (TMC workers) have all worked very hard. I have just one request. Please don't have any sort of victory procession during the pandemic. We will have a big procession at the Brigade Parade Ground once the pandemic is over. Let's stand with the people. Let's try and save lives. I am with you all"- CM concluded.
